Anushka Sharma Hot

Anushka Sharma Hot Biography

Source(google.com.pk)
Anushka Sharma (pronounced [əˈnʊʂkaː ˈʃərmaː]; born 1 May 1988)[1] is an Indian actress and former model who appears in Hindi films. In 2008, she was signed by Aditya Chopra for a three-film contract with Yash Raj Films and made her acting debut in Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She received critical appreciation for portraying a vivacious wedding planner in the romantic comedy Band Baaja Baaraat (2010).[2] Both films fetched her a Best Actress nomination at the Filmfare Awards ceremony.[3] She later won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Yash Chopra's romance Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012).Sharma's father, Col. Ajay Kumar Sharma, is an army officer and her mother Ashima Sharma is a housewife. She has an elder brother named Karnesh,[4] who is in the Merchant Navy. She studied in Army School and graduated with specialization in arts from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.[5] She later moved to Mumbai to further pursue her modelling career, where she currently resides.Sharma says she originally wished to make it big in the modeling world but had no strong aspirations for films.[5] She began her modeling career at the Lakme Fashion Week as a model for Wendell Rodricks's Les Vamps Show and was picked to be Rodricks's finale model at the Spring Summer '07 Collection. Since then she has done campaigns for Silk & Shine, Whisper, Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio.
Her first acting role was in Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) opposite Shahrukh Khan. Her performance was appreciated with film critic Taran Adarsh stating, "Anushka looks the character and surprises you with a confident performance. It's no small achievement to share screen space with an actor of the caliber of SRK and Anushka manages it very well from start to end."[6] The film received positive reviews and was declared a blockbuster, and had been concluded as the second-highest grossing film of all-time to that point by the end of the year.[7]
Her second film, Badmaash Company, also under Yash Raj Films, was released on May 7, 2010. While Adarsh added, "Anushka is a revelation. She looks stunning, her performance is livewire and the chemistry with Shahid is electrifying."[8]In 2010, Sharma completed her three-film contract with Yash Raj Films, starring in Band Baaja Baaraat, a romantic comedy directed by Maneesh Sharma and co-starring debutant Ranveer Singh.[10] She played a middle-class Delhi-Punjabi girl who goes on to launch her own independent business of wedding planning and later falls for her partner. In preparation for the part, Sharma was required to master the dialect of a young Punjabi woman from Delhi. She cited it as the toughest part of her role, describing the way the lead characters in the film interact as "crude but cute", and calling for her to "talk fast, sometimes mix words and even omit words completely".[11] Prior to its release, she referred to it as her "best film till date".[12] Some pundits, however, had expressed doubts about the film's prospects to leave a mark, citing the middling response to Yash Raj Films' last few productions, the lack of a male star, and claiming that by then Sharma was an "almost-forgotten" actress.[13]
Band Baaja Baaraat was released on December 10, 2010 to positive reviews and went on to become a sleeper hit. Box Office India website reported that the film grossed approximately INR 21.44 crore after five weeks, making it a moderate box office success.[14] Sharma's performance was praised by critics, many of whom called it her best work up to that point.[15] Taran Adarsh described her as "truly wonderful," noting that it is "the first time in her 3-film career, a film rests mainly on Anushka's shoulders, and she handles the responsibility so well."[16] For her work in the film, Sharma received her second nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress and earned several awards and nominations at different award ceremonies.[17] It has often been noted that the film has acted as a major career move for the actress, as it brought her much recognition.Sharma's first venture outside the Yash Raj banner was Patiala House directed by Nikhil Advani and co-starring Akshay Kumar. Patiala House was released on February 11, 2011.[18] Despite the film's lukewarm performance at the box office, Sharma received positive reviews. Nikhat Kazmi of The Times Of India wrote, "Anushka Sharma’s vivacity may have an after taste of her bubbling Band Baaja Baraat act but her passage from Janakpuri’s dhinchak girl to Southall’s siren is sweet and smooth. Watch out for the girl; she’s truly on a roll."[19]
In December 2011, she re-united with her Band Baaja Baarat team of Ranveer Singh and Maneesh Sharma for Yashraj Films's Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. Despite negative media perception, the film was a moderate success at the box office.[20][21]
In 2012, Sharma appeared in Yash Chopra's swan song, the romance Jab Tak Hai Jaan alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Whilst the film was commercially successful and earned a mostly positive reception from critics, her portrayal of the ambitious Discovery Chanel reporter Akira Rai, fetched her positive reviews from critics, with Adarsh noting: "She's an integral part of this story and it must be said that she walks away with some of the best scenes and lines in the movie. Her performance is full of grit."[22] [23] This would be her second film with Shah Rukh Khan, opposite whom she made her Bollywood debut with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and her fifth collaboration with the production house, Yash Raj Films. Additionally, for her role, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Sharma was last seen in Vishal Bharadwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, a political satire set in the rustic surroundings of a village in Haryana. Co-starring alongside Pankaj Kapur, Imran Khan and Shabana Azmi, Sharma played the role of Bijlee Mandola, a strong headed, girl who is also a spoilt brat. Despite the hype, the film generated mixed reviews from critics[24] and underperformed at the box office, eventually becoming a flop.[25][26] Whilst many critics noted that Sharma was being stereotyped as the loud, bubbly girl, Sharma's performance attracted mixed reviews from critics, much like the film. Some critics were appreciative of her performance, like Raja Sen, who noted that "Anushka [...] is great in a couple of scenes near the climax."[27] On the other hand, critics such as Kanika Sikka gave her an unfavourable review, Sikka having the opinion that "[although] Anushka adds the much-needed glamour [...] her performance is unconvincing."[28]
Sharma is currently shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's next, the political satire P.K. opposite Aamir Khan.[29] She is also scheduled to appear in Anurag Kashyap's periodic love story Bombay Velvet, in which she is cast alongside Ranbir Kapoor.[30]

She has thus established herself as a leading contemporary actress of Hindi cinema.[5] Her personal life has been the subject of fervent tabloid reporting in the Indian media.Padukone was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is a former top world level badminton player, and her mother is a travel agent. Her father was then training in Denmark in the sport and when she was eleven months old her family moved to Bangalore, Karnataka, India.[6] Padukone has a younger sister, Anisha, born on 2 February 1991 (who is a golfer).[7][8]
Padukone attended Sophia High School in Bangalore, and completed her pre-university studies at Mount Carmel College Bangalore.[2] While in high school she played badminton at the state level.[9] However, she was not keen on pursuing a career as a badminton player.[10] During the time of her film debut she was enrolled with the Indira Gandhi National Open University in Bachelors of Arts (Sociology).[11][12]Whilst in college, Padukone pursued a career in modelling.[13] She was spotted in a ramp competition in NLS, Bangalore,[citation needed] and consequently made her debut on the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week in 2005.[3] In her early years, she has modelled for various Indian brands like Liril, Dabur Lal powder, Close-Up toothpaste and Limca, and has been "brand ambassador" of the Jewels of India retail jewellery show.[14] Padukone is also known for endorsing major cosmetics company Maybelline at one time.[15]

The film was a re-incarnation melodrama, featuring her in a double role.[20][21] Her performance was well received, earning the actress a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award as well as her first Filmfare Best Actress nomination. Taran Adarsh from indiaFM noted, "Deepika has all it takes to be a top star — the personality, the looks and yes, she's supremely talented too. Standing in the same frame as SRK and getting it right is no small achievement. She comes as a whiff of fresh air!"[22] About being cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan, she said,
"When Farah was casting for Happy New Year, she saw my commercials on TV and called my agent. I met her when she was rehearsing at a dance hall in Juhu. When that film didn’t happen, she offered me OSO. Farah took care of me right from the first meeting, introducing me to Shah Rukh Khan and ensuring that I was comfortable with him. Six months prior to shooting, we frequently met up for lunches and dinners."[23]
Padukone was then seen playing a feisty, modern-day Indian woman, Gayatri, in Siddharth Anand's romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba.[24] The film performed reasonably well at the box office,[25] but her performance drew flak. Adarsh wrote, "Deepika is a sore point. Her role isn't convincing and that's the reason why this performance doesn't work. The only consolation is, she looks gorgeous."[26]
Her first release of 2009 was Nikhil Advani's action comedy Chandni Chowk To China, in which she played a double role again. Featuring alongside Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Ranvir Shorey, it was a critical and commercial disaster, with Padukone receiving mostly negative reviews for her performance. Nikhat Kazmi of The Times of India comments that "Deepika looks lost and forlorn for most of the film."[27][28]
Padukone's second release of the year, the romantic drama Love Aaj Kal proved to be one of the biggest hits of 2009 and earned critical appreciation.[29] Directed by Imtiaz Ali and featuring Saif Ali Khan opposite Padukone, the film documented the changing value of relationships among the youth. Padukone's portrayal of Meera Pandit, a practical and head-strong career-minded woman, received a mixed reaction from critics, with NDTV's Anupama Chopra writing, "Deepika looks fabulous but she isn’t a strong enough actor to breathe life into the character."[30] Despite this, she received her second Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination.[31]
The same year, she teamed up with Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan once again for an item number in the Irrfan Khan-Lara Dutta starrer Billu.[32]
